So, we got the boys a couple of pigs to raise for 4-H. Sounded like a good idea at the time. But then we found out we would need to put suntan lotion on the pigs. What?!? Who’s idea was this, again?
Well, we can’t take the pigs back, so we’re going to do this. Donald’s pig, Hamburger, looks to have very delicate skin. Shadrach’s pig, Blinky, looks a little more robust. However, both need some sunscreen if we want them to show well. We set up the video camera and got some good pictures of the whole experience. Here’s the link.
Interestingly, as soon as we got them all rubbed down, they went right into the water. I hope the waterproof sunscreen holds up well. Reminds me of bathing my boys, they always seem to get dirty faster than we can keep them clean.
In case you’re wondering, pigs are hard to catch. They’re even harder to hold onto. But at the end of the day, we won! Now we can work hard to get the pigs ready for the show. Donald and Shadrach need to train the pigs to be driven. Let the work begin!
